The 20th Edition

INDIA12-02-2027

Where Earth Meets Eternity
Born from the Earth. Worn Forever.

This year's theme celebrates the remarkable journey of a natural diamond – formed deep within the earth over billions of years and transformed into a timeless symbol of beauty, emotion and legacy.

As the HRD Design Awards marks its landmark 20th Edition, we celebrate the enduring value of natural diamonds, rare treasures born from the earth and worn forever.

Award Categories

Diamonds

The Flagship Category

Designs in which the diamond is the primary creative and structural focus. The diamond must be the central driver of the design concept, not merely decorative, with every setting and silhouette existing in service of the stone. Open to all experience levels globally.

Criteria Design must feature diamonds as its primary material and conceptual anchor. All cuts and diamond types permitted, from brilliants to rough forms.

Gemstones

Colour, Rarity & Chromatic Mastery

Coloured gemstones as the primary design driver. This category celebrates the interplay between chromatic beauty, rarity, and technical precision. The choice and placement of colour must be intentional and central to the design narrative, where colour leads and design follows.

Criteria Design must be driven by coloured gemstones (excluding diamonds as primary stone). All coloured precious and semi-precious stones permitted.

Everyday Radiance

The Beauty of the Everyday

The ring you never take off. The necklace worn closest to your skin. This category celebrates the jewellery that becomes part of who you are, pieces designed for the life truly lived in them, transforming daily adornments into objects of lasting meaning and beauty.

Criteria Design must be conceived for everyday wear, not occasion-only use. Wearability, comfort, and emotional resonance guide judging. All materials permitted.
